Christianity in todays world.

So, here are my thoughts on religion, religion on the internet, and religion encompassing today's world. These are my thoughts, and I encourage comments at the bottom of the page. Feel free to let me know your thoughts as well.

Hi Brandon! You're so awesome! You brought up an interesting point about heaven - why didn't God just create us into heaven? There is an answer! (I believe)

Initially, it appears that heaven and earth were unified, so mankind was indeed created into heaven. After reading Scripture about this, I think that even now heaven is really a holding pattern for souls until Christ returns and creates "a new heaven and a new earth," unified once more.

Heaven itself is not our final destination forever, and God has things in-mind we haven't even dared to dream of!

Thank you for loving the Lord with an undying love. He delights in you!

I kind of look at evolution as catholicism, everyone knows the basics but the "experts" hold the tough stuff under lock and key. They'll say it's too complex or they will explain it in it's most complex way, which is probably because if they put it simply it sounds silly.

The way I see the christian questions you pose, is this: Humans lived in Eden, Adam and Eve. 2 humans with free will, they were not born but created, and as of then had no life span (while it doesn't say that directly I guess I'm taking some assumptions here). There is no philosophical free will without a mechanic of right and wrong. If there is nothing to do but that which is right, is it truly free will? So the tree came to be, with the apple.

Being cast out of eden, being made to suffer for their daily lot in life, was the punishment, and death was as well. There was a promise of a savior. So the people were brought up to sacrifice something precious to them, money, goods, livestock etc all looking forward to the big sacrifice. But You know, logically God could've said all was forgiven. He gave his Son for us, not just because we needed atonement, but because it's a tangible way for us to view love. How do you measure a god that never walked the earth, the love of such a god? By the miracles he's done? you can, but humanity understands a father and son relationship, how important a son is to the family name, and to send your son into a death situation, for people who inherantly turn their back on you, is quantifiable and tangible love.

Back to evolution, despite that which surrounds said topic is titled "theory" the community strongly states it as "fact", simply because many theories we know are true, but because there is no equation to prove it for infinite numbers of scenarios, it cannot become a law. I don't believe it's fact but that is what many people say.

Even bloody George Carlin believed in "the great electron", whatever it was that sparked the universe. There was some sort of miracle at the beginning of time, that is easily explained by christiantiy or other religion, very difficult to explain from science standpoint.

Very thought provoking man. sorry for my long response. I am with you 100%
